Thousands of years ago, long before written history,

they looked for foods the borders of seas, rivers, or
lakes. Innumerable references can be found in religions
and mythologies of many cultures from remote times.
The EGYPTIANS appreciated so much pearls that they were
bury with them. There is a story that say that Cleopatra
dissolved pearls in a wine glass and drank it, simply

consume the wealth of whole country in a single food.
In the OLD ROME, Pearls were considered as a symbol
of wealth and social position. The GREEKS had a high
esteem by their matchless beauty as by their association
with the love and the marriage. During the beginnings
of the AVERAGE AGE, whereas beautiful doncellas of the
nobility hoarded delicate necklaces of pearls, knights
used to carry pearls with them to the battlefield; they
thought that the magic of their shining gems could protect
them against all badly.
